FAMILY FUNCTIONS:
There is generally a fun family function once a month, with different activities for the whole family. Please see Calendar for dates, times, and locations.
MISSIONS:
At MVEMC we care about the unchurched people around us. We are active in reaching out to people both globally and locally. On the global level, we keep current on the activities and needs of our missionaries and support them through prayer, finances, and volunteer efforts. Some of the agencies that we support are:
International D.O.V.E. Association
Compassion Canada
Child Evangelism Fellowship
Campus Crusade for Christ
The Gideons
Samaritan's Purse
and EMCC Partners.
On the local level, some of our community activities include Vacation Bible School, supporting Bible camps, and Ladies' Time Out. Our desire is to be passionate for the people around us, whether next door or across the planet.
SUNDAY SCHOOL:
There are classes for all ages, from pre-school to adult.
Sunday school is most Sundays at 10:00 except during the summer. There are also some special Sundays (holidays, etc.) on which there will be no Sunday school. Please see the Calendar for dates and times.
We are blessed to have gifted and willing teachers who know that God's love can make a difference in the lives of their students.
WORSHIP:
Our worship style is fairly free and flexible. We use traditional hymns and contemporary choruses in our worship services. We encourage involvement and participation through singing, praying, giving, scripture reading, teaching, preaching, as well as sharing about God's working in our lives. Through worshipping together, we want to lead and enable people to experience God. It is our prayer and desire that what takes place in our worship services turns our hearts and minds to our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We want to be in a place where we can catch a glimpse of the love God has for us, the mercy He pours out on us, and the grace He offers us every day.
YOUTH:
Activities are for all teens from grades 6 through 12. They meet once a month for a social event, which has included such activities as swimming, bowling, rollerskating, go-karting, etc. For dates, times, and the activity of the month, please check our Calendar.
